Wednesday morning, no roosters here! There are chickens here and there and on most menus but that's another story. Yesterday we worked or should I say we planned. The autopilot is the appropriate size for the boat but the boat is not the appropriate size for the autopilot drive.
We tried many scenarios and all this finished off the morning so, Rick took us through a hole in the fence and off to the beach at the hotel next door. We packed a lunch and beers and took over the place. We swam, we had our beers and a great lunch...as those of you who know Rick will know food is important and stay the "****" out of my kitchen.
In the afternoon we missed our afternoon nap due to the extended lunch. Then the Caribbean thing took over, Kevin Sutter Captain of the sailing vessel Rain Dancer dropped over. His boat was anchored in a nice breeze in a beautiful bay but they chose to visit us in the yard on the hard. For several hours.
Dinner followed at the bath and turtle outdoor restaurant. Kevin and his crew Doug went back to their air conditioned boat. Rick and I went across the road as Rick is drawn to music like blow flies to...music and partook a Christmas party staged by the local Lions Club. We weren't thrown out and left after several tunes.
We made it home with a manageable weather helm. During the night I was eaten by a small but determined flock of insects. The bites don't itch too bad but I got an extra tube of cortisone and roll in it several times a day.
